Clash between China and the West and enjoy a different holiday

2018年中加文化交流夏令营在7月14日开幕啦，这是合肥高新中加学校第三年开展的极具特色的经典校园活动，每年都会有从来自加拿大纽宾省的中学生，与中加学生一起度过这难忘的一周。今年来到合肥的这些学生现在就读高一和高二年级，他们来中国主要就是想要感受中国传统文化的魅力，想要交更多的朋友。有的老师和学生已经不是第一次来到中国，他们都说很喜欢中国，喜欢中国的文化，喜欢中国的美食，喜欢中国人。此次合肥行，是他们的第三站，他们之前已经去了北京和哈尔滨，相信合肥中加的学生肯定能给他们带来不一样的回忆。

The 2018 Sino-Canadian Cultural Exchange Summer Camp was opened on July 14. This is the third year of unique classic campus activity for Hefei CCSC students. Every year, there are middle school students from New Brunswick, Canada, who spend time with Chinese students in this unforgettable week.The students who came to hefei this year are now in the first and second year of high school. They come to China mainly to feel the charm of Chinese traditional culture and make more friends. Some teachers and students have not come to China for the first time. They all say they like China very much, like Chinese culture, Chinese food and  Chinese people. This time, hefei travel is their third stop. They have already been to Beijing and Harbin. We believe students from hefei and China will surely bring them different memories.

7月14日下午5时许，终于迎来了这一群大洋彼岸的同学们，中方学生手绘横幅对小伙伴们表示了热烈的欢迎。共同享用美味的晚餐后，大家一同前往了大报告厅，开启了本次夏令营的第一个集体活动——开营仪式。开营仪式上，学生处刘劲松老师代表所有中方师生表达了对远道而来的朋友们的欢迎并介绍了此次夏令营的行程和注意事项。随后为了能够更快的熟悉彼此，TA老师们带领所有的学生前往图书馆进行破冰游戏，几个破冰小游戏迅速让中加两方的小伙伴们熟悉起来，放下初见时的羞涩，开心的相互介绍彼此，与大家分享他们的故事。

At 5 pm on July 14, the students from the other side of the ocean finally ushered in. The Chinese students' hand-painted banners expressed a warm welcome to the friends. After enjoying a delicious dinner together, everyone went to the big lecture hall and opened the first collective event of the summer camp - the opening ceremony. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Liu Jinsong, the student administrative office teacher, expressed his welcome to friends from all over the world on behalf of all Chinese teachers and students and introduced the itinerary and precautions of the summer camp. Then in order to be able to get to know each other more quickly, TA teachers led all the students to the library for ice-breaking games. Several ice-breaking games quickly familiarized the Chinese and Canadian friends. They put down the shyness when they first saw them, introduced each other and shared their stories with partners.

相信接下来的日子，他们一定能够走进彼此的生活，一起迎接未来美好的一周。
