Michelle was born and raised in Tarlac, Philippines. She attended the University of Holy Angel in Angeles City, Philippines and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In addition, Michelle has a master's degree in Educational Management at Feast International. She has been teaching for 23 years. She taught in the Philippines for 7 years, USA for 10 years, and China for 6 years. In SCCSH, she taught most of the grades across the departments from Grade 5 to Grade 12, such as English language, Writing, Drama and Environmental Science.

Her teaching experience has strongly influenced her love to pursue her career in international education, as she developed her interest in it when she worked in the US. She has the most respect for multi-diversity, using an adaptive teaching style with high expectations of learning behavior, student-centered activities, differentiated instructions and collaborative learning in all her classes. Furthermore, she believes effective teaching involves acquiring relevant knowledge about students and using that knowledge to inform our course design and building a rapport with students and teachers is a must.

She loves spending time with family and friends. She loves playing basketball when she can, walking around the field or community, and cooking most of her free time.
