Teaching and learning in the international teachers’ classes can be a little different than the traditional way. Students are expected to interact with each other, to ask questions, to try new ideas and to express them. Apart from learning contents, teachers focus on developing attributes and skills that will be important when pursuing higher education.

Today, we want to highlight a very important skill: Self Management.

Self-management has to do with the ability of taking responsibility for your own actions and doing things as well as you can. It is about making a choice to do more than you need to. It is a necessary skill to build for study, work and life.

今天，我们提出一个非常重要的技能，就是自我管理能力。对自己的行为负责，尽所能做好该做的事之余，还能对自己提出更高的要求，是学习、工作和生活所必需的技能。

During the month of September, the international teachers have observed all students during their class time and have come to an agreement that the students that have displayed the best self-management skills among their peers are:

During the month of October, teachers will be focusing on a different skill which will be highlighted and celebrated in early November: Collaboration.

10月份，教师们会专注于考察学生的另一项技能：协作能力，并在11月初给与颁奖。

Collaboration: Working with others in order to create or produce something together. Collaboration enables students to engage with each other productively and efficiently.

协作：和他人合作完成某项任务，协作能够促进学生更好互动，让任务完成得更高效。
