Alexander Michael Tait is a native speaker from England with a Postgraduate Certificate of Education from the University of Sunderland, England and a 120-hour TEFL certificate. He is currently studying for a Master’s in Education. He teaches Grade 2 English and Math here at SCCSH. This is his 6th year teaching at this establishment. He has been teaching English in China since 2018.

As part of his PGCE, Alexander completed a teaching practicum where he was observed and produced a substantial amount of evidence that he was teaching to various UK teaching standards. He received very positive feedback from his university tutor and mentor. In addition to this, he also completed some modules where he studied and applied different pedagogical principles from various well-known theorists in his own lessons. Alexander has harnessed this knowledge to foster an enhanced educational environment for students of all abilities.

As a keen language learner himself, Alexander enjoys learning Mandarin in his free time. He has used his various experiences to guide his thoughts on second language acquisition. He also enjoys weight training and going on walks with his friends. In summary, he harbors a deep passion for language learning and education, bringing significant contributions to our school.
