Greg was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. He attended the University of Glasgow and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in History of Art & with minors in history and sociology. In addition to the degree, Greg also achieved a CELTA certificate from Basil Patterson's College in Edinburgh.

His experience at university has strongly influenced his choice to pursue a career in the international education system as he developed a keen interest in the English language, particularly its use for communicating ideas. Furthermore, he grew to appreciate the value of reading, writing and speaking and the positive impact these activities have on students' knowledge and personal growth. Greg believes that deeply engaging in the written and spoken word can have a profound influence on students, both professionally and personally.

In addition to English, Greg also has an appreciation for other humanities subjects, such as drama, music and art. He always looks for ways to incorporate performance-based activities within the classroom, particularly activities such as acting and singing. Building the voice is a huge part of Greg's teaching philosophy, and he firmly believes drama can build character, confidence and emotional intelligence within each student.

When not teaching, Greg enjoys activities such as reading books, baking, listening to music, socializing, running, swimming, weight - lifting and travelling.
