Elena Dobrovolskaya is a native of the Russian Federation. Her dream is to eliminate English illiteracy around the world. She is excited to join SCCSH, where both teachers and students are passionate about speaking English and are striving for greater achievements.

Elena studied in Ukraine, where she earned her Bachelor’s in education in 1998; she got her Master’s in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages from Anhui University in 2022.

She used to work as an interpreter right after graduation, but she didn’t enjoy it; she has always had a penchant for teaching. Prior to coming to SCCSH, Elena used to work at Hefei University of Technology (HFUT), the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and Anhui Medical University. She was in charge of developing and teaching the following courses: Spoken English, Academic Writing, Western Culture Overview, Cross-cultural Communication, IELTS, and Medical Terminology.

Elena deems SCCSH a pioneer in international education, which values cultural diversity and creativity and focuses on teaching critical thinking, mutual respect, discipline, and hard work. She is looking forward to meeting her students and embarking on our exciting and arduous journey to learning.
